Our Filmbar Hot Shot this month is the gorgeous Emily Browning. Born in 1988 the Aussie beauty got her big break at a young age when a classmates father noticed her “acting all ditsy” in a school play and was soon snapped by an agent for a role in ‘The Echo of Thunder’. More roles followed including a part in ‘Ned Kelly’ with Orlando Bloom and Heath Ledger, not long after this she appeared along side Jim Carry as Violet in Lemony Snicket’s A series of Unfortunate Events.

Since then events have been anything but unfortunate for Browning with her successfully making the leap from child star to full blown super nova. Don’t be fooled by her femininity this sheila packs a punch and can be seen in Zach Snyders fantastic new fantasy epic ‘Superpunch’ In cinemas now.

So what next for the girl with world at her fingers tips – a little down time … Well not quite as Browning will be appearing in another leading role later in 2011 as Lucy in a dark reworking of the classic fairy tale story ‘Sleeping Beauty’ so you’d better keep your eyes open for that one!
