2010 has really been a great year for home grown talent with Carey Mulligan winning the BAFTA for best leading actress as well as being nominated for an Oscar for 1960′s coming of age drama, An Education. Also Nicholas Hault of ‘Skins’ fame landed a plum role in Clash of the Titans as well as becoming the face of fashion designer Tom Ford who recently made his directorial debut with Single Man. However it is Kent born Gemma Atherton who we’ve crowned as Mays Hot Shot of the Month.

Recently Gemma Arterton has appeared omi-pressent, smiling up at us from the pages of magazines, standing beside us on tagged ads at bus stops and of course looking down on us from the big screen where she has been cast as goddess Io and love interest to Sam Worthington in the Warner Bros remake of Clash of the Titans 3D currently showing nationwide. She will also be appearing in this summers big screen debut of the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time it’s only a matter of time before miss Atherton goes Stella.
